Stones in the Pocket

A Transylvanian village is invaded by a Hollywood crew preparing to film the great epic “The Quiet Valley”. We meet several characters: an American star, the English director, assistants, technicians and, above all, Jake and Charlie, two locals hired as extras who will discover the world of cinema for three weeks for 40 euros a day. 

The play “Stones in the Pocket” by Marie Jones invites us into the creative lab of a movie to discover the mysteries of cinema, from “action” to “cut”. Accompanied by Romulus Cipariu’s live music, the two actors playing 15 characters on the set promise an intense theatrical experience that reveals the nature of human relationships on the border between reality and fiction.
