Set up in 1949, after a long activity which began in 1788, the present-day building of the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre in Sibiu – Big Hall is a former cinema hall which has been renovated based on the requirements of an Italian stage. Throughout the year, the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre produces and presents Romanian and German-language performances, as one of the most relevant repertory theatres in Romania.
