The Radu Stanca National Theatre Sibiu Marks World Theatre Day with Special Events for Audiences of All Ages

On the occasion of World Theatre Day, the Radu Stanca National Theatre Sibiu presents, between March 26 and 28, 2025, a diverse program of meetings, performances, workshops, and community-focused events. Conceived as a bridge between artists and audiences, these events highlight theatre as a space for dialogue, reflection, and connection.

Jon Fosse – Winter and the Sacred. Theatre as a Mystical Experience
With: Andrei C. Șerban, Ovio Olaru, Hunor Horvath, Fatma Mohamed, and Daniel Bucher
The event “Jon Fosse – Winter and the Sacred. Theatre as a Mystical Experience” brings together creators and performers to explore the dramatic universe of the Norwegian writer and to introduce Winter, a new production of the Radu Stanca National Theatre Sibiu.

“Poetic Consultations”
Directed by: Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota
With: Gabriela Pîrlițeanu, Iustinian Turcu, Ioana Arina Trif, Ștefan Tunsoiu
A poetic consultation is a one-on-one, 20-minute conversation with an artist. It begins with a simple question: “How are you?”. Based on the answer, the artist proposes a poem, a dance, or a piece of music as a “poetic consultation”, which is then read or performed.
