March Premieres on Scena Digitală: Productions from China, Germany, and Romania

Scena Digitală, the online platform for theatre, film, music, circus, and dance of the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre Sibiu (TNRS) and the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS), presents three new premieres this March, bringing to the forefront artistic creations from China, Germany, and Romania.

March premieres on Scena Digitală:

 Pure Beauty brings together a selection of choreographic moments from the repertoire of the Beijing Dance Academy, celebrating the expressiveness of movement and the richness of Chinese cultural heritage. The performance offers a true choreographic kaleidoscope, featuring group dances, solos, and pas de deux inspired by China’s history, mythology, and traditions, including Images of the Tang Dynasty, Butterfly Lovers, Flying Apsaras, and The Fourth Movement of the Yellow River.
A performance that reflects the strength of tradition and the refinement of an impressive culture, brought into the present through the universal language of dance.


2. Future for ?!

 This science-fiction documentary theatre production by Rimini Protokoll centers on the story of a Transylvanian Saxon woman “purchased” from Romania by West Germany in the 1970s. Fifty years later, the protagonist enters into a staged dialogue with multiple versions of herself, generated by artificial intelligence based on her personal and historical data.


3. It Cannot Be Felt Here
It Cannot Be Felt Here presents an apparently small yet profound love story about choices, regrets, and unfulfilled possibilities. The performance explores the fragility of moments that can change a destiny and invites the audience to reflect on their own crossroads.
