The French Film Festival arrives in Sibiu from March 27 to 29 with five films

The “Radu Stanca” National Theatre invites the public to the 30th edition of the French Film Festival, which it will host in Sibiu between March 27–29, featuring five films unanimously acclaimed by critics in recent years. Screenings will take place at CineGold, and tickets are available online and at the cinema box office for 20 lei.

“The selection of films presented within the French Film Festival has been made with great care, bringing together titles that have already been appreciated and validated at major international festivals, including Cannes. The festival is offered by the French Institute in Romania and supported by the Embassy of France in Romania, to whom we extend our thanks, and who are strategic partners of TNRS and FITS. The fact that these productions can be seen at CineGold also confirms its status as a strategic partner. We have managed to secure a special ticket price so that as many viewers as possible can enjoy these films” – Constantin Chiriac, President of FITS and General Director of TNRS.

La Haine will be screened in Sibiu on March 27 at 20:00.

The children of the “Bluebell” neighborhood have spent the entire night clashing with the police. Why? Because a 16-year-old boy, Abdel Ichaha, is in critical condition after being beaten during a police interrogation. Among these young people blinded by hatred are three close friends – Hubert, Saïd, and Vinz. Together, they are about to experience the most important day of their lives.
Today, a fourth “hero” enters our story: a shiny chrome-plated 9 mm Beretta pistol, said to have been lost by an undercover police officer during the riots.

Animale will be presented in Sibiu on March 28 at 20:00.

Nejma, 22, works on Léonard’s farm, the best in the Camargue region. While training to win a competition where participants face bulls in the arena, rumors of a runaway bull frighten the locals. Men are found dead, and Nejma begins to experience strange and worrying symptoms.

La Plus Précieuse des marchandises will be presented in Sibiu on March 29 at 20:00.

Once upon a time, in a vast forest, there lived a poor woodcutter and his poor wife.
The cold, hunger, poverty, and, all around them, the war made their lives extremely difficult. One day, the woodcutter’s wife finds a baby thrown from one of the many trains passing through the forest without stopping. Protected at all costs, this child – this small “precious cargo” – will completely change the life of the woman, her husband, and all those whose paths it crosses, including the man who threw the baby from the train. Their story will reveal both the worst and the best in the human heart.
